Hardcore gamers have likely heard about the SNK Neo Geo, but only a few people have tried playing it.
The console was used to play games such as Puzzle Bobble, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, and King of Fighters. All these games are still quite popular so they have lasted longer than the console system. But there are likely a few people who may have used Neo Geo.
Since the console is exclusive, the lack of fan meetings is because of this behaviour. Even despite competing against Nintendo SNES and Sega Mega Drive, Neo Geo still showed its power more.
However, you should be prepared to pay for an expensive system. Each cartridge even costs £150 to £200. This is likely the reason why only well off players really like to play SNK Neo Geo.
Now, a normal Android phone has more features to be proud of. Robert Broglia, an experienced developer of emulators, developed and released NEO.emu. He also came up with SNES9X EX and MD.emu.
SNK fans are quite fond of the Tiger Arcade, which is unfortunately off the Android Market already, because it gives them the Neo feel. This new app is also unique and it seems like you can customise it yourself.
You can do a lot on your Android phone with the application, such as modify the screen resolution, change the mapping of the buttons, save the game, change screen filters, and the rest of the management of the game. It is quite confusing to choose from a lot of options though. It would help if you have used other Broglia apps before because they share almost similar features
NEO.emu needs to be executed on an Android device that uses 1GHz processor or better. The games proceed at full speed and with sound. Games, such as Garuo: Marks of the Wolves and King of Fighters, also run smoothly. The more powerful the phone is, the more you can expect from the game.
For Xperia users, NEO.emu does the re-mapping of buttons on its own. The emulator can also be used on a tablet with a PS3 or Xbox 360 pad to experience the games even better. It is also compatible with Bluetooth controllers, such as Gametel pad or iControlPad.
However, NEO.emu is q bit expensive. It is cost effective than other emulators though given how many games you can play and how good these games work for your phone.
All of Broglia’s emulators are good so NEO.emu also needs support. They also get updates regularly.
If you like retro games, this emulator would be a good investment. Download it now.
